SULLIVAN - On March 10, 2013 officers of the Sullivan Police Department responded to the 200 block of South Center Street for a report of a disturbance. The resident had reported being harassed by an ex-boyfriend several times throughout the day. The suspect, Wyatt Zelch, age 31, from Bourbon, had left prior to officers arrival during those incidents.

At approximately 8 p.m. officers responded back to the residence after the resident stated Zelch had returned. As officers were responding, the residence reported that Zelch had fired a gun at their residence and then fled in his vehicle. When officers arrived, Zelch had already left the area.

Small-caliber bullet holes were located on a pickup truck which had been parked in front of the residence. Information was developed indicating Zelch had returned to his residence outside of Bourbon in Crawford County. The Crawford County Sheriff's Department was notified and later located Zelch at his residence on Highway C. Zelch was transported to the Sullivan Police Department.

On March 11th, 2013 a warrant was issued for Wyatt P. Zelch for a single count of Unlawful Use of a Weapon through the Franklin County Circuit Court. Bond was set at $40,000 cash only. Further charges are pending at this time.
