SULLIVAN - Compared to years past, 2012 slipped into 2013 with little fanfare. A last-day snowstorm likely grounded the plans of a few revelers as area roads remained slick throughout the night. However, some things never change.
Police made their usual arrest of drunk drivers, including a Bourbon man arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on felony DWI, driving while revoked, and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. The Highway Patrol arrested Joe D. Eoff, 35, at 12:36 a.m. Jan. 1, 2013 in Gasconade County. He was being held at the Owensville Police Department.
The usual reports of celebratory gunfire and alcohol-fueled fights greeted 2013, but nothing extraordinary. There was a report of a possible drug overdose in the City of Sullivan that occurred at about 9 p.m. New Year's Eve - however, that has not been confirmed.
Have a safe 2013!
