SULLIVAN - A local man that led more than a dozen law enforcement officers on a wild chase Saturday has been charged with felony possession of chemicals used in the manufacture of controlled substances and a misdemeanor charge related to the chase.

Tyson J. Williams, 37, of Sullivan has been charged in Franklin County Circuit Court with one felony and one misdemeanor count.

He is currently being held in Franklin County on a $30,000 cash-only bond. Williams next scheduled court date is Jan. 17, 2013.

Williams led three police agencies on a two-hour chase that began after police allegedly discovered Williams near a meth lab. Police on Saturday were actually searching for a suspect in an unrelated case when Franklin County Sheriff's Reserve Deputy Tom Cline was flying his helicopter and spotted what appeared to be meth activity. Williams allegedly fled the scene on an ATV, leading police on a chase that eventually ended east of Lowe's.
