SULLIVAN - On Nov. 11, 2012 at approximately 11:40 a.m., Franklin County deputies were responding to the 4000 block of Highway H north of Sullivan for a reported physical domestic involving a firearm.

It was reported that a male suspect had fired a 12-gauge shotgun at his son.  The suspect had allegedly threatened to shoot incoming deputies as well as himself. Deputies began establishing containment of the area and activated the Sheriff's Office SWAT team to respond.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to assist. While deputies were establishing containment, they learned that a family member of the suspect had picked up the suspect prior to the deputies arrival on-scene.  The family member drove the suspect to the Sullivan Police Department, where he surrendered to Deputies.

Floyd Huskey, 48, was arrested and transported to the Franklin County Jail.  He has been charged with first degree domestic assault.  Bond has been set at $50,000.
