Successful entrepreneurs are often those already in business who are able to identify a need and then capitalize on it by building a plan that will benefit both their company and the customer.  Local contractors Chris Chapman and his brother John Chapman, Jr. have done just that; taking the knowledge learned in the family business and expanding the septic system portion of it, utilizing the latest technology in the industry.  With the expansion, a new branch of the company started called Show-Me Soils.

The Chapman brothers were raised in St. Clair.  Graduates of St. Clair High School, the boys grew up in the family business, Chapman Contracting.  Their father, John Sr., has over 35 years in the construction and septic industry.

Chris, a graduate of Columbia College, returned to the area and joined his father and brother in 2009.

With laws pertaining to septic systems and the discharge of waste changing at the local, county and state level, the brothers identified a need for a septic system with modern technology that would meet the requirements of the laws and yet remain affordable for the average homebuilder.

Research done by Chris and John Jr. brought them in contact with Norweco, a Norwalk, Ohio based company known a the leader in modern technology regarding water and wastewater treatment systems.  In business since 1906, Norweco produces a septic systems known as Singulair and Singulair Green.  The systems are bio-kinetic filtration systems that utilizes an exclusive non-mechanical flow equalization feature that guarantees the full treatment of all incoming wastewater, eliminating odors and unsanitary conditions common to many septic systems.

Through negotiations, Show-Me Soils is now the exclusive distributor for Norweco in east central Missouri, including both Franklin and Jefferson counties.
